HR Executive - Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Executive to join our team in Colombia. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of experience in human resources, with a strong knowledge of Colombian labor laws, recruitment processes, employee relations, and organizational development. This role is pivotal in supporting HR operations and driving employee engagement, while ensuring compliance with local labor regulations.

Key Responsibilities


 

1. Talent Acquisition:

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job postings to candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and streamline recruitment processes.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.

2. Employee Relations & Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances.
  • Promote a positive work culture by supporting employee engagement initiatives and aligning with company values.
  • Mediate conflicts between employees or between employees and management, ensuring fair and effective resolutions.

3. Compliance & Labor Law:

  • Ensure compliance with Colombian labor laws, including payroll, benefits, and working conditions.
  • Stay updated with changes in labor regulations and make necessary adjustments to company policies and practices.
  • Oversee the preparation of statutory HR documents, such as employment contracts, terminations, and employee agreements.

4. Compensation & Benefits:

  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring all statutory deductions are made accurately and on time.
  • Manage benefit administration and ensure that employees have access to the benefits they are entitled to.

5. HR Administration & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • Generate HR reports, including headcount, turnover rates, and training progress.
  • Assist in the management of HR systems (HRIS) to improve data accuracy and reporting.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR roles, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or executive capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Colombian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to manage payroll and employee benefits administration.
  • Proficiency in HR software systems (HRIS).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster a positive work environment.
